The Best Haircuts for Oval Faces

Last week, I published a post about the best haircuts for round faces. As promised, I am back with the second installment in this series! This week, we will be exploring the different haircuts that would suit you if you have an oval face shape.

An oval face is the ideal face shape for a center part because your hair would frame it nicely. However, long straight hair can emphasize the longness of your face, so soften your tresses with some soft waves by using some of the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.

{ Blunt Bangs }

If you have an oval face, it can tend to look long. To counteract that, you can get blunt bangs that end below your eyebrows. The bluntness will make your face look wider, and the bangs themselves help make your face look shorter. { Bob and Side Bangs }

Like blunt bangs, a short bob helps to create the illusion of a shorter face. With a short bob, side-swept bangs work better because if you get blunt bangs, it would double the intended illusion of a short face and make your face look too short, which is not ideal either. { Edgy Pixie }

The edgy pixie is a shorter, more daring version of the short bob. Not many people can pull of this hairstyle, but with an oval face, you're already more equipped than everyone else to rock an edgy pixie. This hairstyle is also not too difficult to style.
