Review: Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads

I received this complimentary product for review purposes with no compensation. All opinions are 100% mine and 100% true.

People view anti-aging skincare products as belonging on the vanities of women who are in their 40s because that is apparently the range when age starts to show in your features. I wont deny it; your 40s is the time when wrinkles and dark spots start appearing. Well, today Im going to tell you that although it is highly unlikely for someone in their early 20s like myself to get crows feet, the early 20s is actually the age range to start preventing them from forming. With anti-aging products, prevention is better than cure. That is why I decided to review the Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads.

The formula in this product is made up of four main ingredients: alpha hydroxy acids, willow bark, witch hazel, and osilift. Alpha hydroxy acids may sound scary, but what they actually do is prepare your skin for absorption of the other ingredients in this product. It takes away the upper layers of dead skin to make way for the new cells to fully absorb the active ingredients. The willow bark then clarifies your pores to reduce unnecessary oil buildup. The witch hazel is a natural astringent that keeps the surface of your skin clean. Then, the osilift comes in to tone and smoothe your skin to get rid of imperfections like wrinkles.

{ Love Notes }

I have been using this product daily for a few weeks now, and I have to say that I do notice the difference. My skin looks a little brighter and clearer, possibly because the product does a great job of toning and smoothing the skin while shrinking pores and evening out fine lines. Also, even though these are exfoliating pads, the product doesnt feel too much like an exfoliator. The pads look like predampened makeup remover pads except that it has a textured surface on one side that exfoliates the skin. It does so in a gentle way, and it isnt uncomfortable to use at all unlike some exfoliating products.

{ Sad Faces }

I have sensitive skin, so even the mildest of astringents can irritate my skin. The astringent used in this product is witch hazel, a mild and natural ingredient, but it still stings my face. I wouldnt call it an uncomfortable stinging; it just doesnt soothe and calm the skin like it claims to.

{ Final Verdict }

This product costs a whopping $75 for 60 premoistened pads. That figures out to be more than $1 for each pad. Despite how well the product works for me, I dont see myself purchasing this product because it is out of my budget as a college student. If this is something that you can afford, I highly recommend it because it is so easy to use, yet so effective at what it does.

Radical Skincare also offers other products in its anti-aging range such as the Anti-Aging Restorative Moisture and the Anti-Aging Replenishing Extreme Moisture. These are moisturizers that are recommended to be used with the Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads for best results.
