Review: Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream and Flawless Ingrown Hair Serum

I participated in an influencer activation program on behalf of Millennial Central for Whish Body. I received a promotional item and Whish Body samples to facilitate my review.

Whish is a brand specializing in body products that aims to create indulgent and luxurious body treatment experiences for women. Whish achieves this by using organic ingredients in its products. Its products are all free from parabens, sulfates, TEAs and DEAs, and petrochemicals, making them all natural. Because of this, Whish products are gentle on the skin, resulting in moisturizing and soothing body treatment experiences.

The brand offers a wide array of body treatment products, namely body washes, deodorants, exfoliators, moisturizers, tanners, and, of course, its most notable product line: shaving cream.

The products came in these adorable tubes.

I was given the opportunity to review two of their shaving products: the Shave Crave Shaving Cream in Pomegranate and the Flawless Ingrown Hair Serum.

The Shave Crave Shaving Cream is made from a revolutionary formula that sets it apart from its competitors. The formula is as strong as men's shaving cream, but because of its lack of harsh chemicals, it is still gentle enough for the delicate skin on our faces.

This product contains a few key ingredients that contribute to its effectiveness. Natural squalene and organic jojoba seed oil work as natural moisturizers. Organic shea butter and organic green tea provide anti-aging properties. Organic coconut oil contains antioxidants that protect your skin against free radicals.

I was only able to try this product once, but once was enough to impress me. The Shave Crave Shaving Cream is non-foaming, so it has a rather thick consistency. Despite this, the cream applies easily, and even just through spreading it over your skin, you can feel the hydrating properties of the product because it feels as though you are applying body lotion. It also impressed me that the product gives you a really close shave without irritating your skin, and once you rinse and dry off the shaven area, your skin will feel noticeably smoother and softer.

To get the most out of your Shave Crave Shaving Cream, begin by soaking your skin in warm water to soften your hair follicles. Then, pump out a dollop of the product that is about the size of a quarter, and swirl it in a circular motion onto your damp skin. This will cause your hair follicles to rise. If you are shaving your underarms or bikini area, you can just use a dime-sized dollop of the cream. Finally, shave against the grain in smooth long strokes. If you want to, you can even re-lather and shave against the grain.

The Shave Crave Shaving Cream also comes in Almond, Blueberry, Coconut, Lavender, and Lemongrass.

The Flawless Ingrown Hair Serum is a clinically proven body treatment that can be used either pre- or post-shaving. It is made from a non-stinging formula and works for any type of hair removal. Rather than just soothe your freshly shaven skin, this product also weakens hair follicles to inhibit future hair growth.

This product contains a few key ingredients that contribute to its effectiveness. Willow bark extract is a natural salicylic that acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. Papaya fruit extract softens and weakens hair follicles. Yeast extract regenerates your skin in places where hair tried to break through.

I was also only able to try this product once even though it can be used daily with or without shaving. I used it after shaving, and I think that it could have complemented the Shave Crave Shaving Cream in making my skin smoother and softer. It also smelled really pleasant unlike most salicylic-based products, and instead of stinging, it felt nice and soothing.

To use this product, pump a quarter-sized dollop onto your palms and apply it to any part of your body. You would, however, want to focus on areas that are more susceptible to ingrown hair and bumps.

You can buy any Whish product from Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com.
