Celebrity Style Inspiration for Any Age: 20s

In January, I started the Celebrity Style Inspiration for Any Age series where I research inspiring celebrity street style and curate similar pieces for you to try out for yourself.

For this second installment, we will be taking a look at the street style of celebrities in their 20s.

Selena Gomez, 22, is an American singer and actress who began her career as an extra in Spy Kids 3D, but she didn't really appear on many radars until she portrayed Alex on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place which is also where I first remember seeing her.

I find Selena inspiring because she just seems so laid-back and down-to-earth despite her overwhelming fame. She doesn't let the limelight get to her head, and she sees herself as an ordinary girl just like any other. I honestly find her to be a great role model to not only teenagers who look up to her but also to the older generation who have started losing their faith in my generation.

{ Emilia Clarke }

Emilia Clarke, 28, is an English actress whose career started as ordinarily as any other: in 2009, she played a one-off character on a TV show, Doctors. After two short years of playing odd characters here and there, hers suddenly became a household name when she landed the role of Daenerys on Game of Thrones, one of my favorite TV shows.

I'm still trying to decide if Daenerys is a character whom I like, but it can't be denied that she's still a strong character either way. She always does what she thinks is right and sticks firmly to her conviction even when people try to convince her otherwise. Although some of her decisions haven't been the best, everything that she's done so far in the series has been not just in her own favor but in other peoples' interests as well.

Off-screen, I haven't heard much about Emilia, but judging by the picture above, I don't need to convince you that she's a woman of great style who knows how to confidently hold herself in public. { Emma Roberts }

Emma Roberts, 24, is an American actress and singer whose career began at the age of ten years old when she starred in a short entitled BigLove. Since then, she's been in a number of TV shows and relatively notable movies like Aquamarine and Nancy Drew, but where I first remember seeing her is on Nickelodeon's Unfabulous, one of my favorite Nickelodeon shows at the time.

Emma is one of those celebrities who seem completely chill and laid-back, like you could easily hang out with at home with some pizza and chick flick. There are many actresses of my generation out there (read: Ariana Grande) who make me feel like I would hate their guts even if I were on the same level of fame and whom I would never in my right mind be friends with, but Emma gives me a completely opposite vibe.

Yes, if you can't already tell, she's one of my favorite actresses. She's been one of my celebrity crushes since Unfabulous, and every movie since then that I've seen with her in it just strengthens that belief more. She seems like she'd be completely relatable, super down-to-earth, and the picture above is the perfect outfit to cement all of that together. Here's how you can get the look:
