It has been brought to my attention that I should update more often. I agree! I have so much to blog about: two hauls, two reviews, a Birchbox on the way. Ever since school started, I rarely have time for much else besides my six classes and two jobs. I am still trying to wrap my head around a new schedule. Once I get into the groove of things, I should be updating regularly again.
I mentioned that I have two reviews in store for you. It is exclusive of this one. So, I actually have two more to follow. They are all from the Target haul from December.
The product that I am reviewing today is the Vaseline Intensive Rescue Repairing Moisture Body Lotion.
I live in Iowa, and we are infamous for our unpredictable and temperamental weather. We had mild weather today at 24F after a long week of being in the negatives. My point is that it has been painfully cold and dry. My skin, being as stubbornly dry as it is, always acts up every single day because there is no escaping being outside when I have to wait for the bus all the time.
When I picked up this product two months ago, little did I know that it would be the savior of my skin. The packaging boasts properties like "multilayer moisture," but being the skeptic that I am, I thought to myself, "Thats what they all say!" On the packaging, it also says that the product will relieve "very dry skin" in one use and "heal" dry skin in three days.
There is a lot to be living up to here, guys, but guess what? It is all true, every single one of those claims. The skin on my legs is always the driest so thats how I gauge if my skin is healthy or not. I always use lotion, but my legs are still dry even in the summer. After the first use of this product, when I woke up the next morning, my skin was as moisturized as when I first applied the lotion.
It doesnt stop there! After three days of using this product, I can tell that there is a difference in my skin - it wasnt as dry anymore. About a week ago, I grew lazy and stopped using lotion. Like I said, this past week has been really cold and dry. Scared, I checked my legs. . .They are not dry! This product really moisturized deep and healed my chapped skin!
I definitely recommend this product if youre in the market for body lotion.
